Ambrish Pandya and Kosha Pandya, along with Garima Chaddah and Gaurav Chaddah, had been individually working on cases of stray animal accidents and other related issues involving animal welfare. Each of them was driven by a shared compassion for animals, but they soon realized they realised that they can do much more together.
One day, through mutual connections, Ambrish and Gaurav were introduced to each other. Their initial conversations quickly revealed their shared passion for helping animals, and it wasn’t long before the four of them met as a group. After several discussions and brainstorming sessions, they decided to unite their efforts to make a larger impact.
In November 2021, their vision came to life. Together, they officially launched Friends of Paws Foundation, a heartwarming animal welfare organization dedicated to helping every animal in need. Their mission was clear: to ensure that animals lived happy, peaceful lives, free from unnecessary pain and suffering.
What began as individual efforts had blossomed into a partnership fueled by love and determination, making a difference for countless animals in need.

With this milestone, we achieved a dream: opening three dedicated shelters for birds, cats, and dogs. These safe havens are now lovingly managed by our compassionate volunteers and helpers, ensuring every animal receives the care and affection they deserve. This was more than just growth; it was a step closer to creating a kinder world for animals.
By God’s grace and the unwavering support of our volunteers, helpers, and donors, Friends of Paws Foundation has grown beyond dreams. In 2024, we achieved ₹60 lakhs in annual donations and proudly became an 80G, 12AB, and CSR-certified, audited NGO. Friends of Paws Foundation was begun in 2022 by Gaurav Chaddah, Garima Chaddah, Ambrish Pandya and Kosha Pandya, all avid animal lovers and supporters who were moved by the plight of the unloved and uncared for fur friends languishing on the streets of Mumbai.
Over time, they were joined by the rest of our team. Today, we’re growing and are committed to making the lives of animals easier.
