Champi, our adorable and friendly dog, loves nothing more than playing, eating, and napping. But one day, we noticed something was off—she wasn’t eating, and her mouth seemed to be filled with an unusual liquid and her lower jaw was saggy. Concerned, we took her to Dr Nupur Desai, who diagnosed her with a cyst in her salivary gland. The cyst was causing saliva to collect in her throat, making it difficult for her to eat.
We had to have Champi’s salivary gland removed to prevent the risk of choking. After the surgery, she stayed at our shelter to recover and heal. Within 2 months once she was fully recovered, we returned her to her home, where she happily reunited with her pawsome friends and continues to live her best life.
