Kallu, one of the most adorable and social cats in our locality, loves being around people and other cats. During our daily feeding drive, we noticed his foreleg was severely infested with maggots. We rushed him to Dr. Dave’s clinic, where tests revealed dangerously low hemoglobin levels requiring an urgent blood transfusion. Luckily we found a suitable cat for blood transfusion just in time and got the blood transfusion done at top dog-vet clinic.
Once stabilized, x-rays and further tests showed his leg was untreatable, and an amputation was necessary. After surgery, we cared for Kallu until he adapted to walking on three legs. Despite this challenge, he remained playful and full of life. Later, maggots were found in his ear, but we acted swiftly to treat him and return him to his locality. His treatment cost around ₹70,000, but seeing him happy and thriving made it all worthwhile. Kallu’s resilience inspires us to keep helping animals in need, proving that healing is always worth the effort.
